Arriving into Malaysia was a bit of an adventure. After we landed, we walked around the airport underneath what was like a shed to immigration. The flight attendant said we didn't have to have an immigration card as they will take retinal scans. The guy I saw didn't seem to care and just let me through. We took a shuttle bus to a dark depot where we took a taxi ride to the city.
The car was really small and it required my brother to hold his suitcase. My dad described the taxi trip like riding a horse drawn cart which amused the hotel concierge. It was uncertain as to whether the car had gearbox issues or the man couldn't drive a manual. His driving was fairly lax in that he went where ever he went and the lines drawn on the road were only for decorations. But that seems to be the driving style in Malaysia.
It reminds of when we first got into Singapore. During our taxi ride to the city, mum said she can see the Singapore Flyer and I asked where. The taxi driver pointed and said, "There" and in doing so, swerved the car on the highway. Fun.
My aunty is fortunately more civil with her driving and she took us around.

The shopping centre underneath the towers was big but not as big as Pavillion. Had nice Char Kway Teow though. |

Sat down for some Kopitiam. These 9 layer cakes are my favourite. Dad said you are meant to eat one layer at a time but I just eat the whole thing in one go. x) |

On the way to Pavillion. There was a walkway from our hotel to there. |

They take Christmas seriously. |
The basement had a very loooong food court where you can eat anything from anywhere. I wish I had a week to just try all the things they had there.

Such nice cars. I'd be too scared to drive them on the road! |

Our family visited a few relatives in Malaysia as well as attending a wedding.
