I have been up and about trying to get some good photos around Adelaide.

A couple of days ago, I went to the beach. It was a very overcast so I didn't stay around for the sunset.

On the way home, a car sped past me and started swerving all over the road (Henley Beach Rd to be exact). The driver lost control and hit the curb which blew out the tire at which they stopped on the side. I slowed down while this was happening and managed to avoid any incident. 

Later that night, I decided to visit the big Christmas tree in the middle of the city.

A few days ago, I got the new Canon EOS M which is like a 650D in a more compact body. It is smaller than my Fujifilm X100 and the pancake lens (Canon 22mm F/2 STM)  is quite sharp wide open at F/2. The autofocus is a bit slow but my style of shooting doesn't require fast autofocus. Image quality is pretty good with the pancake lens and manually adjusting focus is acceptable. The lack of viewfinder doesn't concern me as I rarely use it these days.

Onyx Dessert Bar

Went for a quick round of dessert at the new Onyx Dessert bar. It was quite a classy establishment which made me feel a bit under dressed with my shirts, shorts and sandals.

I didn't photograph all the desserts as it was a bit too dark.

Unplanned day in Singapore

We were waiting at the gate for our flight when an announcement was made that the aircraft needed repairs and the parts needed wouldn't arrive until the next day. Jetstar sent the passengers to hotels as well as paying for transport and meals worth $25 each. They also credited passengers with $100 to go towards their next flight.

Again, we went through immigration and took a taxi to Sentosa Resort. However, the Jetstar crew did not say specifically which one as there were many resorts at Sentosa. One of them was even a Hard Rock Cafe themed resort. Eventually we found the right one.

A couple of peacocks greeted me in the morning.

We finally managed to get home to Darwin and thus end our trip overseas. I didn't include all the photos in my blog but I have uploaded all the ones I processed onto my Flickr account. You can view them here and here.
