Sydney Trip: Part 3

My third day in Sydney. I got to meet some friends and sample what was on offer at Zumbo's Patisserie at Star City. I missed the dessert train last time and again, it was not running. It was not too disappointing, I got to try the famous V8 cake and boy was it worth making the trip. The macarons were refreshingly different to the standard flavours and there were some interesting goodies which I brought back.

This was looking at me as I approached it.

Cecilia.

And her sister, Doro.

With her startled boyfriend, Paul.

Thai puns are everywhere...

The best thing I have ever had from Zumbo's. Probably my favourite dessert of all time.

A trip to the Samsung centre and I got myself on TV.

Interesting protest.

Chillin with some pool.

Sydney Trip: Part 2

During the second day, I visited the famous Laduree in the Westfield on Pitt St. My friend Angela asked me to check out this place. I read that the macarons were imported from Switzerland because they didn't have the facilities to make them locally yet.
You can have high tea here for a more sophisticated experience.

You can also buy perfume?

So many macs!
I left with some macarons and headed home.

The macs came in a fancy bag.
And fancy box.

My spoils from the Japanese bakery.

Melon pan.

Sydney Trip: Part 1

Hi guys.

I went to Sydney a couple of weeks ago for a quick break and meet some people. I brought my two cameras; the Canon 650d with the 40mm pancake and the X100. In the end, I pretty much only used the X100.

Take off from Adelaide. As much as I hate early flights, this may be one of the reasons to go on them.

Outside Kings Cross station.

View from my hotel.

Walking towards the city.

Walking through the botanic gardens down a hidden path.

Giant Max Brenner figure.

There was already a line for the iPhone 5 when I got there.

A church in the city.

Stopped for ramen near Chinatown.

Close to Media Asia. Surprisingly I didn't buy anything even though there was so much I wanted.

Found this cute little bread shop.
